New teams showing interest in Tears

Nebraska and three-star wide receiver Spencer Tears parted ways in May after a commitment that lasted little more than a month. Now the Oak Lawn (Ill.) Richards prospect is re-approaching his recruiting process.
"I am just keeping my options open right now," Tears said. "I have been getting a lot of contact from a couple coaches. I just talked to UConn the other day and coaches from Kansas just contacted me on Twitter."

With the interest from UConn and Kansas just coming about, Tears is in the early stages of learning about each program.
"I have interest in a lot of schools that are getting in contact with me, but have not really sat down and seen them play," Tears said.
Among the schools that offered Tears before he made his commitment to Nebraska in April, Indiana and Purdue are two he still holds interest in.
"I think I am going to get in contact with Purdue again later this week," Tears said. "I should be getting back up there and see what is going on.
"I am keeping in contact with Indiana and think I will be taking a visit up there pretty soon. After Leon (Thornton) committed to Indiana, I'm not sure if anything is going on right now."
Tears has not attended any camps this summer and does not have any plans to do so. The 6-foot-1, 172-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 59 wide receiver in the 2015 class.
