New team moving in on Gwaltney

Long Island (N.Y.) North Babylon running back Jason Gwaltney had a great week in San Antonio, earning Rivals.com Offensive MVP honors for his East team and raising his stock even further. While he was close to a decision last week, a new team will put the brakes on an announcement for now.
"Boston College is in the mix now, I'm going to take an unofficial visit there either on Jan. 25 or the weekend of Jan. 28," said the 6-foot-0, 234-pounder. "I was going to decide between Southern Cal, West Virginia and Ohio State this week, but when Brian Cushing talked about BC a little bit, it just made sense. It's close to home, they run the ball a lot and they like big backs. So we decided to take a visit there together."

Cushing is currently on an official visit to Southern Cal and the duo are thinking about attending school together.
"I'd like to go to school with him, he and I roomed together this week in San Antonio and we're a lot alike," he said. "If he decides on USC, I would really consider them a lot. Right now they might be too far from home for me, but I loved it out there on my visit. I'm very interested in Ohio State and West Virginia, although the West Virginia offense concerns me. We ran that type of offense in practice all last week and it wasn't for me."
That certainly leaves the door open for the Eagles.
"We'll see how my visit goes," he said. "I called coach McGovern twice last week and he just called me Monday and we talked for about an hour. BC is coming to my school and coach O'Brien is coming to my house Tuesday night."
Gwaltney's performance in the All American Bowl practices and game could lead to a bump to five stars.
"That would be an honor and it's my goal," he said. "To be one of the best in the country has always been what I've strived for."
Gwaltney is set to announce his decision on ESPNews on Feb. 1.
