New schools step up for four-star WR

When making a decision that could affect the rest of your life, the process can be a difficult one.
Lexington (Ky.) Henry Clay wide receiver Aaron Boyd has been meticulously narrowing down his recruitment since the day it began. The four-star prospect had established his final ten schools, widdled that list down to a final six, then a top five.

As the month of January approaches, it would seem that it would be time for Boyd to start taking a hard look at that final five. However, some new activity has shaken things up for the star receiver and now it looks as if Boyd is once again wide open. Some new coaches and some new schools have shed some new light on the situation and it looks to be anyone's game for Boyd.
The schools that are jumping into the mix are led by some new blood on the coaching staffs and in some cases, the head man is leading the way.
"I talked to my head coach earlier this week and he told me that Texas A&M called and they want to offer me and get me down for a visit and Mike Sherman is my recruiter," Boyd said.
Boyd, who has already taken one official visit to Kentucky has some SEC schools getting in on the action as well, including Auburn and its new offensive coordinator.
"Tony Franklin, my recruiter is the man who taught my school our offense and he went to Troy and recruited me and now that he's at Auburn he's recruiting me and I'm sure they will offer. I'm looking forward to it because with him I know Auburn will be very pass-happy.
"Arkansas also called me," he said. "Paul Petrino, my recruiter called me and said he wants me down there ASAP and wants me to make an impact next year."
The late entries into the Boyd sweepstakes is not the way the 6-foot-4 receiver had planned things, but it is hard to ignore the opportunities.
"These new schools have totally messed up my list, so now it's wide open again," he said. "I mean somebody must want me and I'm trying to figure out who really wants me."
As a wide receiver that caught 55 balls for over 1,100 yards as a senior, it seems as though Boyd won't have any problem finding schools to want him. For now though, Boyd has two more official visits set: one to Missouri on Jan. 18th and one to Arkansas on the following weekend.
It seems as though he is back to square one with his recruitment and there isn't a leader in sight.
