New schools rises to top for Texas QB

Denton (Texas) Ryan quarterback Justin Willis has a new school at the top of his list.
“I am leaning toward New Mexico a little bit right now,” 6-foot-1, 197-pound Willis said. “So far, their coach has been a great guy to talk to. They have offered me a scholarship. Northwestern and SMU have offered, too. So far, I just like New Mexico the most. I am going to try and get some visits scheduled before too long with some of these schools.”

The schools that are offering aren’t alone in their pursuit.
“Tulsa, TCU Wake Forest, Texas A&M, Kansas State are still calling me,” he said. “I’m interested in hearing from them and learning more about them, so I can be sure I am choosing the right place. I want to make a decision as soon as I can. But I want to make sue I find the right place.”
Willis has helped lead Ryan to an unbeaten record on the season.
“Everything is going good so far. We’re undefeated.on the season. That’s the main thing. I don’t know my stats, but I think I’ve been playing pretty good.”
