New school in mix for Elliott

Cleveland- Glenville High School defensive end Jayrone Elliott will not be narrowing down his list of schools until his team learns its fate in the 2009 season. But that doesn't mean college programs are putting their pursuit of Elliott on hold.
"Coach Ginn told me today that North Carolina has contacted him about me," Elliott said. "I have not heard anything specific about that yet from Coach Ginn, but they could be entering the picture. I guess they want me to come down there and check it out."

Elliott said the other schools he is considering are Cincinnati, Michigan State, Toledo, Maryland, and Connecticut.
"My top three schools I would have to say are Cincinnati, Michigan State, and Connecticut. But, North Carolina could really change things. Cincinnati is off to a good start. I could play there early, and it is in Ohio. Michigan State I feel is also on the rise, just like Cincinnati. And UCONN, their coaches say I can fill in Lindsey Witten's shoes at defensive end. He is from Glenville."
Jayrone said he took his ACT last Saturday, and would like to start taking visits next month. He said he would like to make his decision in December or early January.
Glenville is one of Ohio's most talented teams. They have the potential to run the table. The OHSAA division one state finals are set for December 5th. Playoffs begin first weekend in November.
