New school enters mix for Conner

When your football role models include the likes of Quincy Carter and Champ
Bailey, it's only natural that the discussion eventually turns to the Georgia

Bulldogs.
That is now the case for one of Mississippi's top athletes, Noxubee County
quarterback
Omarr Conner, who has added Georgia to his list of prospective schools.
"They're in there now," said Connor, who plans to camp at UGA this summer
along with appearances at Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU and Alabama. "They've
got a great program. So many great athletes have come out of there."
He declined to name any clear-cut favorite, but pointed to LSU, Ole Miss,
Mississippi State, Auburn, Clemson, Geogia and Southern Miss as his main group
of schools.
Conner (6-2, 190, 4.5) says he likes to pattern his quarterback skills after
those of Quincy Carter and Michael Vick. He demonstrated that as a junior by
passing for more than 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for more than
1,000 yards and 17 scores.
"I've worked hard on my passing game during the offseason," he said. "I'm
looking to put up bigger passing numbers next year."
