New Orleans QB makes his choice
New Orleans (La.) Newman quarterback Damion Carter took two official visits and then ended the recruiting process.
"He visited Southern Mississippi a while back (Dec. 20) and then Louisiana Tech last week," Shalisa Carter, the mother of the 6-foot-2, 185-pound quarterback said. "He decided the visit to Southern Miss showed him what he wanted."

So has the All-State selection made his intentions known to the Eagle coaching staff.
"He called them and told them he was accepting their offer. He's headed to play for them this fall."
Carter chose Southern Miss over Louisiana Tech, Stanford, Tulane, West Virginia and Kansas State.
