New offers for WR Rodgers

The last time Rivals.com caught up with Shrewsbury (Mass.) St. John's wide receiver Richard Rodgers things seemed to be going well for the rising senior.
Now the recruiting picture looks even better for Rodgers.

Just a few weeks ago the 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect held offers from Boston College, Cal, Maryland, Notre Dame and Oregon. Those schools are holding firm and still highly interested, and more are involved.
Virginia offered Rodgers a scholarship not long ago and a few more are jumping into the mix.
"West Virginia, Minnesota and UMass have offered me since then," Rodgers said via and online message on Saturday.
Rodgers went on to say that he does not have any plans for the summer lined up yet. Coaches from various schools have visited St. John's over the past few weeks to express their interest and to see if Rodgers passes the eye test, which he appears to be doing.
The talented prospect is coveted because of his athleticism for a player of his size. Rodgers would like the opportunity to play wide receiver in college but is also being recruited to play tight end and outside linebacker, so his future is up in the air.
