New offer, interest for Saunders

North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School offensive guard Trenton Saunders is taking his time with the recruiting process. He is in regular contact with around five schools right now with some new developments in regards to interested parties.
"The most contact, definitely FIU, Western Kentucky, and Marshall," Saunders said. "The latest was that Middle Tennessee has offered and I am now drawing interest from North Carolina."

So far this season, Saunders said that Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Middle Tennessee, and Western Kentucky have come to watch him in action. He expects North Carolina at some point down the road. He talked about what feedback he has received from the Tar Heels coaching staff recently.
"They were super excited and called my coaches saying they loved everything they saw on film, my body, my frame, everything," Saunders said. "They said that they want to get my senior highlights and that they were excited."
Saunders, who holds offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, and Western Kentucky, intends to allow the process to play out and hopes the upcoming release of his midseason highlights lands him additional offers.
"Right now I am just going to let things pan out for the rest of the season," Saunders said. "After I get my five game highlight tape out, see if any new schools come along, and we will go from there."
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound interior offensive lineman may unofficially attend Miami's game against Georgia Tech on Saturday. When the time comes for official visits, he knows of two likely destinations.
"I know I want to see Marshall and Western Kentucky on officials," Saunders said.
At this time, Florida International remains the leader for Saunders services. He has no specific timeline for a decision.
