Offensive lineman Khaliel Rodgers of Bear (Del.) Red Lion Christian Academy was recently named a four-star recruit and made the initial Rivals250. Today he received more good news when he found out that West Virginia became his third offer.
"Today I just got out of school, and as I was walking to the ECA facility to go train I got a message that my coach wanted me to set up a time to call West Virginia," said Rodgers. "I called off my coach's phone and I talked to the head coach, the offensive line coach and the defensive line coach. They loved me at both positions, and the head coach extended an offer."
Rodgers had excelled as an offensive lineman at numerous camps, but had not heard about the possibility of playing on the defensive line before.

"West Virginia is the first to see interest in that position," said Rodgers. "They said they fell in love with my nasty, aggressive attitude as a player on the offensive side."
Previously holding offers from Connecticut and Temple, Rodgers shared his thoughts on his newest offer.
"I think it's an amazing program," said Rodgers. "I'm going down in April to see the spring game."
Rodgers also had plans to speak to the USC and Ohio State coaches today.
"I called Coach Cregg from USC and I'm heading out there to attend a camp and spring game," said Rodgers. "I didn't get around to calling Ohio State today. My coach wants me to do it while he is there so most likely it will happen tomorrow."
Rodgers has no other visits planned at this time, but has an idea of which other schools may be close to offering.
"Miami, Maryland, South Carolina and Oregon are heavy, and there are plenty more," said Rodgers.
