New offer for Reeder

Earlier this week, junior linebacker Troy Reeder of Wilmington (Del.) Salesianum School seemed pretty certain that he might be closing in on more offers. Yesterday he proved to be correct, as an ACC school stepped in with a new offer.
"The Miami Hurricanes offered me," said Reeder, who is 6-foot-3 and 232 pounds.

The Miami offers joins previous offers from Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Delaware. He discussed how he found out about his latest offer.
"I talked to a coach down there today after he contacted my coach," said Reeder. "They saw a game tape from this year and loved it, so they decided to offer. They had been recruiting me for awhile now."
Reeder was asked to share his thoughts on the Miami program.
"I've never been down there, but I know there's a ton of football history there, and they have had some great linebackers come out of there," he said.
While his offer may have been new, the interest he has been receiving from Miami has been ongoing for months. Along the way Reeder has stayed in touch with the coaching staff.
"Every so often I either talk to Coach Williams or Coach Kehoe," said Reeder. "They're both great guys."
When it comes to Miami, the next step for Reeder is to try and set up a visit to Coral Gables.
"I hope I can get down there soon to check everything out," he said. "I hope to see their facilities and to see if their academics are equally as great as their tremendous football program."
