New offer for Logan

4-star linebacker Abner Logan of Brookline (Mass.) Dexter has been one of the more impressive linebacker prospects in the region during recent events, and while his recruiting process may have started off a little slow, it is beginning to take off. Earlier today the talented linebacker picked up his first BCS offer from a Big East school that has been showing interest for months.
"I just got offered by Syracuse," said Logan, who is 6-foot-1 and 212-pounds. "The coach called my coach, and then I talked to the Cuse coach. The coach told me how it happened and why they offered me. The linebacker coach, Coach Conley, said that he really wanted to coach me. He said that there was some questionable stuff with my athleticism, but he saw my highlight tape and clearly changed his mind."

Logan, who already had offers from Florida International, Massachusetts and Towson, has some early thoughts about Syracuse.
"They're a good school academically and they finished seventh in the nation in total defense," said Logan. "I mean it looks real good for them. It's hard to beat what they have to offer."
Logan has yet to visit Syracuse, but will attend a camp this summer. The Orange will not be the only school to have a chance to host Logan this summer.
"This isn't in order, but I have to go to all of these one-day camps, which are UConn, Penn State, Florida, N.C. State, Nebraska, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Maryland and Georgia Tech," said Logan.
The Massachusetts linebacker will go into these camps with a chip on his shoulder and eager to prove to everyone that he deserves more attention.
"I want to prove that I can play with anyone in the country," said Logan. "I think it's kinda crazy how there are kids that I'm better than, that have three times as many offers as me. But just because they're from Ohio, Texas or Florida, they're big time. I can play with anyone and I show it at every camp I go to."
