Lately the recruiting scene hasn't been overly exciting for three star juco corner Ivy Jones from San Francisco (CA) City College of San Francisco. However, he is still hearing plenty from the teams that have coveted him from the beginning.
"It's been kind of slow lately," Jones said. "I've just been hearing from Utah, Minnesota and all the other teams that have been regularly recruiting me."
However, Jones thinks he might be adding a new offer soon.
"Actually coach Nixon from Temple called me last night and said they're evaluating my tape and if they like what they see they're going to offer me and bring me out for a visit on the 26th," Jones said.
Temple has their work cut out for them though as Jones has two leaders currently.
"I don't really have any top teams other than Utah and Fresno State," Jones said.
There are a few key things that Jones is looking for in whatever school he chooses.
"Playing time is very important to me," Jones said. "When I choose, I'm going to choose based on playing time, the location of the school and what kind of program they've got."
While Jones still hasn't decided he says he plans to in the next couple of weeks.
"At least by the beginning of February," Jones said.
However, the team that actually does get Jones' signature is getting a great corner.
"Whatever school I go to, they've got a shutdown corner coming," Jones said.
