New move-in Texas CB has handful of offers

It is not often that an undiscovered prospect in the state of Texas, especially at a large high school in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, pops up as a senior in college radars. However, that is exactly the case for one class of 2011 defensive back.
Wylie, Texas cornerback Andre Moseley fits that bill. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound defender has had a solid season for the Pirates and has picked up a handful of offers.

"I have a few offers but my coach keeps up with them though," Moseley said. "I deal with it a little bit but I have my coach talk to the college coaches and stuff. I'm just concentrating on the playoffs right now."
While it would seem like schools missed completely on the big corner during the spring evaluation period, that is actually not the case with Moseley.
"I just moved down here in May," he said. "I'm from Kansas City, Missouri. I played at North Kansas City High before this. A couple coaches came through when I was up there but nothing big. This is a big school now and they get looked at a lot and people are noticing me. The school I was at, they weren't getting looked at by colleges like here at Wylie."
Wylie assistant coach Terry Mills has been helping out his senior with the recruiting process.
"He has offers from ULM, Utah State, Air Force and Northwestern State," Mills said of Moseley. "The ULM offer, that was probably about Week Six of the season when that came in. Air Force, it was like three weeks ago that they offered."
Mills expects even more offers are on their way as well.
"I think University of Houston is close (to offering) as well as UTEP and New Mexico State," he said. "SMU also came in last Friday and picked up film.
"UTEP, I know the corners coach up there and he just said he was to put the film in front of coach (Mike) Price. With Houston, coach (Jim) Jeffcoat came in and he said he feels good about it but there's nothing for sure there."
Mills has high praise for Moseley.
"He moved in this summer from Missouri and immediately was in there playing for us," he said. "He's that good. He's a 6-10 high jumper and he's a good corner, I know that. His senior film is really good. Once coaches find out about him and see it, they're always wanting to bring it back to their head coach to get an offer approved."
For his part, Moseley says he is taking things slow in the recruiting process.
"I'm going to set up some official visits," he said. "I'm going to sit down with my coaches later this week and try and set some stuff up. I'm not sure where I want to go yet, though. I really haven't thought about it.
"I've always been a KU fan but I've never really wanted to go there. I grew up rooting for them but I wanted to go somewhere different. I don't really know where though."
