New leader for Georgia end

Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek defensive end Fred Jones made an official visit to Indiana during the weekend and came away very impressed with the Hoosier program. So much so that the sleeper jumbo athlete has named them his leader.
"(Indiana) was nice," he said. "The whole place was nice. I didn't commit yet because I want to take my visit to Marshall first. I've got Indiana in the lead right now."

There were several aspects about his trip to Bloomington that stood out to the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder.
"I liked the campus and all of the facilities were nice," Jones said. "I liked the stadium and playing in the Big Ten. I like the Big Ten."
Jones sat down and met with Indiana head coach Terry Hoeppner at the conclusion of his official visit.
"We just talked about how good of a player I am and if I come and work hard I got the chance to come in and play next year."
Indiana is recruiting Jones as a defensive end.
Jones previously visited Central Florida and will head to Huntingdon, WVa., next week to see the Thundering Herd. A decision could come following that visit.
Jones is a two-star rated prospect according to Rivals.com.
