New Jersey RB is one to watch

We haven't heard too much about New Jersey running back James Kenner just yet but that's about to change.
Stony Brook and Monmouth, two smaller football programs, have offered scholarships to the 5-foot-11, 205-pound back from Haddonfield (N.J.) Paul VI, and several FBS programs are very interested.

"I'm actually supposed to be going to (visit) Monmouth University because they gave me a full scholarship," he explained. "Stony Brook did, too.
"I'm going to Syracuse this Friday coming up and Penn State next Friday. I'm going to Boston College on (June) 20th. All of them are camps because their coaches really suggested that I come to them."
Despite all that interest Kenner said he doesn't have any favorites yet. There's a reason for that.
"I'm still keeping my eyes open. Actually, I don't want to worry about favorites too much. I think in my state of mind I would just focus on them and what they want from me too much," he said. "I want to stay hungry and focused and work on what I need to, so I need to stay open to everybody."
Kenner then went on to describe what each school has said to him.
"With Boston College the coach actually came to my school," Kenner said. "They called me about two months ago and sent me a big package. They were saying they really want me to be there.
"Temple's coach came to our school. He said he really wants me to be there but I forgot his name. I went to their school they gave me and three other kids a personal tour.
"The coach at Syracuse said he was really interested in me and he wanted me to come up there.
"Penn State didn't really say too much but I got a visit from them. I want to go to their camp because I've heard there will be a lot of coaches there and it will be a lot of exposure."
Last fall for Paul VI, Kenner was a workhorse, carrying the ball 291 times for 1,289 yards and 16 touchdowns.
