New Jersey QB talks recruiting

Nick SanGiacomo doesn't have an offer list that's quite as glamorous as some of the other top quarterbacks in the region but he has plenty of interest, and that often leads to offers if summer camps go well.
The 6-foot-4, 198-pound quarterback from Barnegat, N.J. passed for almost 2,200 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for five more scores last fall. SanGiacomo completed a solid percentage of his passes and figures to be a solid drop-back passer in a variety of offensive styles in college.

"I have an offer from Tulane University," SanGiacomo said this week. "I got that after my sophomore season. Some other schools are showing interest but (he has) no more offers."
Some of the schools that have spoken with SanGiacomo are Penn State, Nebraska, South Florida, NC State, Oregon, Syracuse, Rutgers, Iowa and Temple.
"Since I'm a quarterback everybody wants to see me at camp," he pointed out. "I've had a couple of colleges stop by and that's what they've told me."
Thus far SanGiacomo has attended junior days at Virginia, Syracuse and Rutgers. He said all of them went well and he is planning on visiting Tulane this coming Monday. That will give him an opportunity to check out the only school that has offered him a scholarship.
"I don't know what camps I'm going to be hitting this year. I'm just going to wait and see if any more offers come and then I'll decide.
"My parents and coach and I have talked a little bit and if I don't feel comfortable with the schools (that have offered) then obviously I'll wait for other colleges. If I do (feel comfortable) then I would like to get it out of the way before my senior season so I can focus on Barnegat football."
SanGiacomo said he has not favorites at the moment.
