New Jersey DT taking his time

Defensive tackle Tyson Chandler of North Plainfield, New Jersey has several offers to choose from and the luxury of making his decision whenever he pleases.
The 6-foot-6, 344-pound lineman is rated the No. 52 defensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com, and he currently holds offers from Cincinnati, Maryland, NC State, South Florida, Temple and New Mexico State.

He already has one trip set up, and he may set up more in the near future.
"I think I'm supposed to be going to New Mexico on September 3," Chandler said. "I don't think I'm going to be able to make my decision during the season, though. Our bye is the first week of the season so we have a game every week after that."
Chandler checked out a school in the Atlantic Coast Conference not long ago.
"I did go to Maryland," he recalled. "It was fun. I saw the place and watched a coaches' meeting. I didn't get to watch the practice, though. They didn't have a lounge but everything else was nice.
"I don't know where else I'm going to go this fall. I've been talking to NC State the most, probably. I call them every week. They just tell me they want me to come back down."
Chandler declined to compose a list of favorites and said he would likely wait until after his senior season to make his decision.
