New Jersey DE ready to hit

Practices are starting all over the country, and Teaneck, N.J. standout defensive end Tamba Hali is also getting in on the action.
"It rained on us the first day," Hali, a member of the Rivals100 team, said. "So we ended up going into the gym and working on formations and other important things like that."

But all that Hali, who is a 6-foot-4, 245-pound strongside defensive end, could think about was getting some hits in.
"That's what I'm waiting for," he said. "I want to get out there and knock some heads."
Hali, who has a 300-pound bench and a 600-pound squat, said he is still leaning toward Penn State and Syracuse, with other teams like Tennessee, Miami, USC and Maryland playing catch up.
"I'm originally from Liberia," Hali said. "I moved here when I was eight, and I'm not really big on cities. That's why I love Penn State. Their location is great, plus it's only four hours from my home."
What about Syracuse?
"The facilities are crazy," he said.
"They showed me when I was up there all of the stars that have played for them. They think I could come in and contribute right away. They also have my major - web page design."
