New Jersey DE forming short list

Teaneck, N.J., strongside defensive end Tamba Hali has received 51 scholarship offers and it appears as though he's beginning to whittle his list.
After camping at Syracuse, he has the Orangemen on his short list. But Paul Pasqualoni is neck and neck with Penn State, which has maintained a consistent dialogue with the 6-foot-4, 285 pound menace for almost two years.

"[Assistant head coach] Fran Ganter has been checking up on me, and there is a steady relationship that started when they expressed interest in me as a sophomore," Hali said.
Hali will be making official visits to Penn State and Syracuse and he said he plans to visit Southern Cal as well as two additional schools. He mentioned Michigan State, Tennessee and Miami as possibilities.
Wherever he makes official visits, it won't happen before December.
"I've have to take care of business in high school first," Hali said.
With a passion for Web design, Hali wants to attend a school that offers a program in that field. But his immediate designs involve hammering North Jersey quarterbacks and running backs this fall. Teaneck opens its season against Bellevue, this Friday.
"I'm hyped," he said. "Everybody is coming to see me. I've gotta step it up."
