New Jersey DB claiming two early big offers

Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep safety D.J. Singleton is only a junior but his offer list already has two schools on it.
That's what the 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect from the Garden State told Rivals.com on Wednesday evening.

"Actually Miami and Rutgers have gave me offers," Singleton said. "I found out about the Miami offer over the summer and I think Rutgers was September 2.
"I've been talking to coach [Jeff] Stoutland from Miami and coach [Greg] Schiano from Rutgers."
Though Singleton said he does not yet have a favorite he said at the moment he would prefer to get away from home for college. He did emphasize that could change later in the process.
How is Singleton's season going?
"So far we're doing pretty good," he explaiend. "We lost this weekend to St. Joe's so this is a big must win game this weekend against North Bergen.
"I've been playing [strong] safety and a little bit of free [safety]. I played a little running back in my scrimmages. I've been doing pretty good but I can do a lot better."
