New Jersey corner talks recruiting

New Jersey cornerback Stephan Thomas has earned offers from the coaches at both Army and Navy but he isn't sure if he wants to go that route.
Only time will tell if other schools will extend scholarships to the 5-foot-10, 178-pound defensive back from Egg Harbor Township.

Those two prestigious service academies are interested in Thomas not just for his football ability, though he is a talented athlete, but also because of his work in the classroom, where he carries a 3.2 grade point average.
Navy has recruited Thomas as a running back and that's the position he would like to have the opportunity to play in college. He just isn't sure if Army or Navy is the place for him yet. It's an option, but he doesn't know what he wants.
"I like both Army and Navy but I don't know if I want to make a commitment to stay for four years afterward," he said. "That's the only thing. I haven't visited either one of them but I've heard they're very nice."
Rutgers, James Madison, Iowa, Pittsburgh and UMass are some of the other schools that are recruiting Thomas, and most of them are recruiting him as a defensive back.
"I guess I'm going to wait until a little after December and maybe see what happens with my season," he explained. "I'll see if any other schools check me out or any other offers come in. I'm not going to jump into anything too soon."
