New Jersey ATH can play anywhere

Junior to Watch: Charles Timbers
School: Ocean (N.J.) Ocean Township
Position: Cornerback
Size and speed: Charles is 5-foot-10, 175 pounds and runs a 4.45-second 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Last season Charles had 54 solo tackles, two forced fumbles, 12 pass break ups and five tackles for loss. As a quarterback, he totaled 890 yards of offense with nine touchdowns. Charles has started since his freshman year and for his career he has 153 tackles, nine interceptions, 28 pass breakups, 15 kickoff returns for 265 yards, 14 punt returns for 164 yards, 17 rushing touchdowns, 12 passing touchdowns, 1,254 yards rushing and 1,030 yards passing. He also has a 37-inch vertical jump.
Honors: All-shore, all-division, all-county
Favorite Schools: He has heard from more than 30 schools, but at this time he favors Virginia, Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Maryland and Wisconsin.
Skinny: Charles is a super athlete with the skills to play at the D-1 level. He has the uncanny ability to make big plays on both sides of the ball. He runs the football from his quarterback position like a running back and has great vision. As a cornerback, he can get up in your face a play man-to-man with no problem.
"Most schools are recruiting me as a cornerback, but some have mentioned that they might like me as a wide receiver as well."
This guy is a leader on the field, but the one thing that impresses most is that he never stops playing. He makes tackles coming from across the field and leads by example.
Timbers will be heading to the Nike combine at Penn State on April 21 and if he runs good times he should begin to receive offers sometime in the near future.
