New interest for Jones

Sheriron Jones is excited about where his recruitment is headed and rightfully so because some major programs are showing new interest.
Texas A&M and Washington specifically have gotten really serious with the 2015 quarterback from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde and both could be visiting him during spring practice soon.

The Aggies are especially interesting to Jones, who already has offers from Arizona State and Akron so an offer from them would be important.
"Texas A&M seems really interested," Jones said. "They're trying to get me to be the guy after Johnny Manziel leaves. I look forward to that a lot. It would be a good offer. I like the way they've been playing over the last couple years. They're doing big things.
"Washington really likes me. They saw my tape and everything and they'll be coming down to see me. The coaches said they'll be coming down in the next couple weeks."
Others are also getting involved with the 2015 quarterback. Jones said BYU, Oregon, Michigan and Colorado are some of the programs that have stopped by Rancho Verde to watch practice and that could only help get him more publicity in the coming years.
"They came down to watch us practice and they watched my tape," Jones said. "They said to keep in touch so I try to call everyone once a week and I make sure I talk to everyone."
Arizona State has already offered and Jones said the Sun Devils are recruiting him well. The coaches want him to visit soon so he can get more acquainted with them and Arizona State continues to heavily pursue the young quarterback.
Jones appreciates the approach.
"I hear from them all the time," Jones said. "The coach said I should try to get up there sometime next month or over the summer so I can get to know the coaches better. He's going to come down, too, to see me pretty soon."
