New five-star Quavaris Crouch just finished an outstanding junior season with a state championship win. The Charlotte (N.C.) Harding University star was the workhorse for his team and a busy offseason is ahead of him.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

"I'm going to get away from football little bit and rest," Crouch said. "I can just have some fun now. I don't show a lot of emotion during the season because I'm really focused."

"I haven't been talking to many coaches lately," he said. "Over this break I'll start getting into things with coaches and colleges. Most of the ones like Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, N.C. State, South Carolina, and Michigan stand out. I'm just going to take my time and see where I want to go.

"Florida State just lost their head coach to Texas A&M and a couple coaches are leaving to go to other schools so I'm just trying to see what happens," said Crouch. "I'm just taking my time and I want to be sure about my decision.

"I'll probably get to some schools soon but I don't have anything planned right now," he said. "I want to get out to all the Florida schools. There a lot of schools out there that I still want to see like Auburn. I've got to get to some places and talk to some guys.

"The coaches that come out to my games especially over the past few weeks have been really special," Crouch said. "I like that they've taken the time out of their scheduled to come see me. That's really special. That's going to hold some weight because they really care and have been supporting me.

"Trying to figure out which side of the ball I want to play on in college is a big thing for me right now," he said. "I could go either way right now. On defense you can have some longevity, not take so many hits, and make a lot of money. I like offense a lot too. I'm just going to let God guide me."

RIVALS' REACTION

Crouch, much like Dylan Moses and Bo Scarborough a few years ago, has the ability to play on offense or defense in college. He is a natural ball carrier but his long term future could be at linebacker. Crouch's recruitment will largely revolve around this question.
