New England QB rising fast

Westwood (Mass.) Xaverian Brothers standout Zack Asack is a 6-foot-4 180-pound quarterback who runs as fast as or faster than some of his receivers. This ability gives him an edge in evading the pass rush and could allow him to play safety or another position at the college level. His performances at the NIKE Camp in Charlottesville and the Elite 11 Camp in Atlanta have bolstered his stock. So who leads for his services?
“Boston College, Duke, and Notre Dame are my three favorites with Duke being my only offer. They are also recruiting me the hardest. Miami, Wisconsin, Syracuse, and Ohio State have shown a lot of interest as well. Hopefully I'll get an offer from some of them soon."

Does BC, a team that always seems to get the best players from Xaverian Brothers lead the race for him?
“No, I wouldn’t say that. All my schools are just about even. I do like BC a lot though. They are close to home, and produce top-notch players. I have followed their team for the last seven years and I really like what I’ve seen. They are moving to the ACC, which is great because I would get to play against different teams and go to different parts of the country.”
When asked about BC’s proud tradition at quarterback, Asack had an interesting story to tell.
“I actually go to the same school that the Hasselbeck (Matt and Tim, both in the NFL) brothers went to, so that’s a good tradition to follow in. I want to make a name for myself though, and eventually play in the NFL like them.”
Asack has a very busy schedule this summer. He is going to the Miami camp followed by camps at Maryland, Boston College, Michigan, Ohio State, Miami, and Notre Dame. When does Asack want to make a decision?
“I would say there is a 75-80-percent chance that I will make my decision in the late summer, after the camps. I want to take as many visits as I can, but I also don’t want to get left out. A lot of teams are only taking one quarterback, so I don’t want to lose my chance at going somewhere.”
As a junior, Asack threw for 1,500 yards and 10 scores. He also earned all-league offers.
