New England OL makes choice

Quincy (Mass.) Boston College offensive tackle Chris Marinelli has made his decision. Will it be Boston College, Stanford or Duke?
"I decided on Stanford," said the 6-foot-6, 270-pounder. "I loved it out there on my trip this past weekend and I think it's just the right fit for me. I met a bunch of the players and that sealed it for me, they're a great bunch of guys and a lot like me in many ways as far as what they want out of school."

Marinelli had offers from his three favorites and Notre Dame was also expressing interest.
"Duke and Boston College are both great schools," he said. "But I kind of wanted to get away from Boston and the area and weather in Palo Alto blows away Duke. There's so much to do out there and it's really nice. I also liked the coaches at Stanford quite a bit. I had only talked to a couple of them before but on the trip I met them all."
Is his family good with the long distance?
"Yeah, my father was with me on the trip and he felt Stanford was a great place even though he's always been a BC fan," he said. "My mother didn't come, but she's taking our word for it. I don't know where she wanted me to go, she just wanted me to get a good education."
Marinelli will play offensive tackle at Stanford. He played tight end and defensive end last year in high school.
