New England DB favors Indiana

Athlete Brendan Smith out of New Hampton, N.H. can now focus on the recruiting season after helping his school win the Class A Super Bowl.
The 6-foot-0, 203-pound athlete helped New Hampton to an 8-0 record as he put up 35 touchdowns. This is the first Class A Super Bowl in school history.

“We pulled it off; a lot of people didn’t think we were going to be able to win it all, but we proved a lot of people wrong. As a team we played together and this was the best team I’ve played on.”
As for his own performance, he said, “I had the best season of my life this year.”
Now that the football season is done, Smith can focus on recruiting, where he has a visit set up with Indiana on Dec. 10. However, Smith said he plans on taking all five visits. The only other school that has a visit lined up is Northwestern in January (not sure of date).
Other schools that are contacting Smith include Connecticut and Brigham Young. He also had seen some interest during the summer from Boston College, but said that has stopped and they haven’t talked to him in a while, nor put an offer on the table.
So who is the athlete favoring?
“I like Indiana a lot, because they showed the most interest in me so far.”
Smith mentioned that he wanted to see what other schools would be doing after he just send out tape two weeks ago.
As for what position he’ll play in college, he said, “The MAC schools are recruiting me as a quarterback, but the others are recruiting me as a safety. It doesn't matter to me."
