New Brighton has 2008 studs

It's never to early to look for 2008 prospects to watch and New Brighton, Pa. has two players to keep an eye on in safety Eric Walker and tight end Nick Edwards. What makes each of the players stand out?
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Walker is a versatile player that could be a safety or running back at the next level according to New Brighton head coach Joe Greco.

"He is probably the best sophomore football player we've had here," he said. "He is a terrific player both ways and should continue to progress. Right now I think it's way too early to get an idea of which position he is better at.
"He is tremendously quick and technically sound on the field. He is a tenacious player that runs faster than everyone else and has a constant running motor. He is also a very good character kid."
Walker earned all-conference honors on both sides of the ball after rushing for 850 yards.
Nick Edwards is a 6-foot-3, 225-pounder that is a skilled tight end.
"He has tremendous potential," Greco said. "He continues to grow and is a very intelligent and smart player and student. He has the right skills and temperament to be good and has tremendous blocking ability and hands. Nick always tends to find a way to get open."
Edwards hauled in three touchdowns last season and finished the year by earning honorable mention all-conference honors.
