Over the past six months, Class of 2019 Camden (Ark.) Fairview offensive lineman Stacey Wilkins picked up his share of recruiting interest from FBS programs. But while programs like Memphis, Louisiana Tech and others joined his offer list, he waited patiently for his first Power Five opportunity.

That wait ended shortly after Chad Morris was hired as the new head coach at Arkansas, with Wilkins being one of the first in-state offers handed out by the new Razorbacks staff.

"I picked up the offer last month, from the new coaching staff," Wilkins said. "It's been really good since they came in. They have been recruiting me really hard. When Coach Bielema was here I wasn't really hearing from them. But Coach Morris and Coach Fry and Coach Craddock are keeping up with me now. I didn't know them before they got the job but once they got in touch and it's been great ever since."

Wilkins, who is listed 6-foot-7 and 285 pounds, said he thinks the new Hawgs offense might fit his skillset better than the old one and that might also explain an uptick in interest from the in-state school.

" I like the new offense they have coming in," he said. "I think I would fit well into their plans."

Now Wilkins is hoping to add to his list of Power Five offers when he makes a trip to Oklahoma to check out the Norman this weekend. Wilkins said the Sooners are just one of several programs showing heavy interest as of late.

"Oklahoma, TCU and Oklahoma State are all showing a lot of interest," Wilkins said. "I'll be at Oklahoma this weekend and I'm also going to go to Oklahoma State for a visit soon and Arizona State also wants me to come out."
