Nevada RB ready for first visit

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman running back Corey White has scheduled his first visit for this weekend and has another set up for early January. At this point, don't be surprised if White doesn't make it to that January visit.
White, 5-8, 200 pounds has been putting up solid numbers since his sophomore season and had very nice senior year. The athlete rushed for 1,304 yards and 12 touchdowns despite playing through a sore ankle early in the season.

"Corey rolled his ankle pretty good in the second week of the season," Gaels coach Dave White said. "He still played through it and had a very good season for us. Corey is such a powerful back, he never goes down on first contact and he has great balance as well. He runs through people and is very good between tackles."
On the recruiting front, White will take his first visit this weekend to Colorado State and also has a visit lined up with Washington for (Jan. 5).
"Colorado State was his first offer and he really likes them a lot," Coach White said. "I wouldn't be surprised if he goes down there and makes a decision. He likes Washington a lot too but they just picked up a couple of backs so we have to see what their interest level is at this point. They offered him but I need to talk with them and see where Corey is at on their list.
"I think Colorado State would be a good fit for him. He likes those coaches a lot and he knows he would have a good chance to get in there and play early. It's just a good overall fit so we'll see what happens."
