Marques Hampton ()

The Latest: Three-star prospect Marques Hampton, Jr. is already one of the top wide receivers in the state of Washington, but so far his recruiting hasn't exactly caught up with his ability. Right now Hampton boasts offers from multiple FCS programs, but he's still waiting for an FBS breakthrough. Rivals.com caught up with Hampton to get the latest on his recruitment, including when a big offer could be coming his way.

In His Words: "Nevada has been talking to me a lot about their facilities and their program. Their wide receivers coach seems to like me a lot. I haven’t been down for a visit yes but I’m planning a trip down there soon. They keep telling me that they like how I run my routes and my release and stuff like that. I'm also getting a lot of tips and feedback so it seems like they want to help me get to where I need to be so I can get there and help their team out. I think that’s very important to have that relationship with your position coach so I know what every day of practice is going to be like, what he’s like outside of practice so he can just help me become a better man and a better football player. An offer from Nevada would be a big offer for me."

Rivals Reaction: Hampton has upcoming trips to Nevada, UCLA and Boise State and it seems like he's poised to breakthrough on the offer front in the coming weeks. Teams out west can be a little slower to offer so Hampton is a guy to watch heading into the stretch run of camp season and into the fall.
