Nevada behemoth lands first two offers

When Dave White first took over Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman it wasn't really known as the Nevada football powerhouse it now is. Every year Bishop Gorman has their fair share of D-I prospects. By now everyone is familiar with highly recruited tight end, Xavier Grimble, but there is another player from the school that has garnered his first two offers - both from the Pac 10.
The player in question is offensive lineman, Geoffrey Gibson (6-4, 315, 5.39) and he has offers on the table from Arizona and Cal.

Gibson is currently getting recruiting attention from Arizona State, Oregon, UCLA, Colorado State, UNLV, Nebraska and Notre Dame.
"When I first received my offer from Arizona, I was relieved because the underclassmen at Bishop Gorman were looked over for postseason honors," Gibson said. "After I received my Arizona offer, it made me want to work even harder because I had that taste in my mouth and I wanted more.
"When I got my Cal offer I was so excited that I called my mom and my grandma. They were just as excited as I was about Cal, especially my grandma because with her it is academics first."
The man who replaced White at Bishop Gorman has resigned and they just hired a new coach. Because of the coaching changed at Bishop Gorman, Gibson isn't sure what camps he will attend. He was planning on camping with Florida, USC and Oregon, but that those plans have been put on hold until the new coach's schedule is made. Gibson will try to make the NIKE Camp in Palo Alto in May.
What is Gibson looking for in a college?
"First two things are academics and a solid coaching staff," Gibson said. "A school that has a good tradition and a program that is on its feet. I want to play in a disciplined team because without that there is chaos. Location could be a consideration because I want my family to see me play."
