Nevada ATH shows big upside at NIKE Camp

One of the most physically impressive looking players at the recent NIKE Camp at BYU was Reno (Nev.) McQueen athlete Kyle Van Noy. Van Noy worked out with the receives, but we love his upside on the defensive side of the ball.
Van Noy, 6-3, 200 pounds came in to the camp with a big reputation and flashed his considerable upside on Saturday. Van Noy has a great frame and all the physical tools to be a major impact player at the next level.

The athlete worked out with the receivers and showed flashes. He runs well but is raw as a pass catcher and route runner. Physically, he can dominate players at the high school level and had a big junior season catching 47 balls for 784 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Still, with his size, strength and physical style, we love him as a future outside linebacker. Van Noy has wide shoulders and his frame will easily hold another 40 pounds or so without losing any of his overall athleticism.
As a junior, he racked up 69 tackles, seven sacks and picked off two passes. His versatility is a big reason why he's holding double digit scholarship offers right now.
"I'm right at 10 offers right now," Van Noy said. "Colorado, UNLV, BYU, Nevada, Cal, Arizona State, Arizona, San Jose State, Boise State and Stanford. I'm pretty open but have a few schools in mind for visits.
"I like ASU a lot and BYU as well. Oregon is anothe school that I would like to visit if they decide to offer me. I want to take all five trips so I'm not close to making a decision right now. I'm still open to new schools recruiting me and just want to play things out."
