Netter lands Big 10 offer

Santa Rosa (Calif.) Cardinal Newman offensive lineman Alex Netter has seen his stock rise steadily throughout the year. The lineman picked up another offer last night, this one from Big 10 country, and he wasted no time setting up his third official visit.
Netter, 6-5, 250 pounds is the top college prospect on one of the top high school teams in the state this year. Colleges love his upside because of his frame and plus athleticism. He's not close to peaking and has a high ceiling at the college level.

On the recruiting front, Netter has offers from Fresno State, San Diego State, Utah State, San Jose State and Sacramento State and picked up his first Big 10 offer last night.
"I got offered last night from Northwestern," an excited Netter said. "I talked with Brett Ingalls, the OL coach at Northwestern and he told me they liked me and were offering. Coach Ingalls said I was a project player with a lot of growth ahead and that they were excited about me.
"I scheduled a visit there for (Jan. 5) and I'm very excited to get back to Chicago and what Northwestern and the Big 10 over all has to offer. I still have my visits set to San Diego State for (Dec. 1) and Fresno State (Dec. 15) and I'm excited about both of those schools as well. I want to take all five of my visits and I'm talking with Rice, San Jose State and Utah State about those last two trips."
