A great senior season has come to a close for Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville quarterback Arvel Nelson. Glenville lost in the state semi-finals 17-7 to Lakewood St. Edwards. Glenville finished with a 12-1 record.
The 6-foot-4 and 171-pound Nelson threw for 2500 yards and 33 touchdowns for the season. He was intercepted just four times.
Now recruiting takes center stage for Nelson.

"I've got one visit set up," Nelson said. "I have Iowa Dec. 9. That's the only one so far."
When asked who else he is still looking at, Nelson said, "Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Michigan State. Tennessee just offered me recently."
Nelson now has scholarship offers from all of the schools on his list.
"Iowa is probably my favorite," he said. "I like their quarterback situation. And I like their style of play."
