Nelson changes up his visits

Mansfield (Texas) Summit cornerback Jonathan Nelson has had to change his visit plans this weekend.
Originally, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive prospect was planning on taking in Oklahoma on Sunday but has had to reschedule because of the holiday weekend. However, he did get a chance to see another school in the state by checking out Oklahoma State on Saturday.

"It went real well," Nelson said. "I met all the coaches and they showed me around to the different athletic facilities and everything. I spent a lot of time with the coaches, talking with them, and getting to know what they were like."
The Sooners will get their visit after all because Nelson plans to get it set up on either one of the two upcoming weekends. With his first visit in the books, and his next one upcoming, he is not ready to declare a leader or a top group of schools.
"I'm pretty open right know," Nelson said. "I'm thinking about Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and maybe some others for my next visits."
Nelson appears open on the subject of a commitment date.
"Whenever the time is right, I'll do it," he said.
