Nebrasksa RB heads to Iowa State

One of the top players in the state of Nebraska is heading across the border to Iowa State.
Omaha (Neb.) Creighton Prep running back Steve Hicks has committed to Iowa State, picking the Cyclones over Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Texas A&M and Nebraska.

The Huskers liked Hicks as a linebacker prospect, but the Cyclones are going to love having the 6-foot-3, 215-pound bruiser back in their backfield.
“He’s gotten a lot of looks,” Creighton Prep coach Tom Jaworski said.
“He’s just an outstanding player and good kid. Iowa State’s an excellent school and very good football program. He had interest from all over the country with Big 12 schools, the East Coast, all over. He’s clearly a high-quality player and Iowa State has gotten itself a good one.”
