Nebraskas best trims list a little

Omaha (Neb.) Creighton Prep defensive end Zach Potter has trimmed his list down a little bit, but he’s not ready to pull the trigger.
“I’m not ready to make the decision just yet,” the 6-foot-7, 258-pound Potter said. “I’m getting closer, though. I’ve narrowed it down quite a bit. I sent tape out to a lot of schools.”

Three schools have risen to the top of the list right now for the nation’s No. 5 rated defensive end.
“Nebraska and K-State out of the offers I have, I like both of those schools a lot.
Notre Dame is behind those two. They haven’t offered, yet, though. My plan is to have a decision by Thanksgiving at the latest. It might be earlier, if I think it’s the right time to do it.”
Potter hopes to travel to some of the games this fall to watch his top three schools in action.
“I want to see Nebraska’s new offense. That’s a big thing. I want to get to a game at K-State too. I’d love to get to one at South Bend, too to check out the atmosphere. I’ll be at Nebraska’s first game, September 4, when they play Western Illinois. That’s the only one I have scheduled right now.”
