Nebraska recruit makes early commitment

Safety Caleb Berg from Heartland High School in Henderson, Nebraska decided that he would make an early commitment to Iowa State.
"I committed over the weekend," Caleb said. "I really liked the coaches, facilities, and their defense. I am going to play strong safety and I like to hit."

At his high school last year, the 6-foot-2, 190 pounder played quarterback and defensive back.
As a quarterback he ended the season with 443 yards passing on 41 completions. He passed for four touchdowns and had another four rushing. He rushed for another 604 yards on 113 carries.
On defense, he had 30 solo tackles and 32 assisted tackles.
He was named first team all-district, second team all-area and honorable mention all-state as a junior.
He might be attending summer camps at both Nebraska and Iowa State.
He has run the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds.
His GPA is 3.6 and he has passed his ACT with a 18 test score.
