Nebraska OL hopes skills stood out

Elkhorn (Neb.) Mount Michael offensive lineman Cole Bunner is already a big lineman, but he went to the NIKE camp in Manhattan hoping to leave with some tips on how to become a better football player. With several college scouts in attendance, the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder did his best to impress.
"The camp was really good," Bunner said. "There were a lot of skills we learned to help us out as offensive linemen. It was a really good experience. There were a lot of schools there watching us in the drills, too."

So far, Bunner's attention has only come from two schools. He's hoping the effort over the weekend caught the eye of some other schools.
"Kansas and Kansas State are really the main two right now," he said. "There are some others that have sent some mail, too. I am hoping that there will be some more that start to show more interest. There were a lot of coaches watching the workouts during the NIKE camp, so hopefully some of them saw some of my ability. Nobody has offered me a scholarship yet.
"I feel that I performed well at the camp. My 40-time was about what I expected (in the 5.0 range). I think my agility and quickness was good in the SPARQ training drills. Hopefully, some of the coaches felt so, too."
