The recruiting action for Seward linebacker Andy Kadavy is really starting to heat up. He has a diverse list of schools from around the country looking at him, and he has set up 2 official visits already.
Schools looking at him include Nebraska, Penn State, Ohio State, California, Colorado, Texas A&M, Colorado State and New Mexico State. He has not received any offers yet.
"Right now I would say I favor Nebraska slightly," Kadavy said, "with California and Colorado State right behind them. In fact I already have two official visits set up. One will be two Nebraska on August 24th, and the other will be to California October 13th."
From his linebacker spot, Kadavy totaled 136 tackles, 4 interceptions including two returned for touchdowns, and from his fullback position he gained about 700 yards. That performance was good enough to earn him first team all-state honors. "I never quit, I play physical, and react to the ball real well," Kadavy said when asked of his strengths. He added, "most of the schools are looking at me at outside linebacker. Nebraska and California have also mentioned strong safety as a possibility."
Kadavy attended a Nike camp in Oregon this summer, and has unofficially visited California.
Andy plans on studying physical therapy in college.
Further comments on his top teams:
Nebraska--- "They are a powerhouse, and you are just about assured of winning 9 or 10 games every year and going to a bowl."
California--- "I like the Pac-10, and I also like the area where the campus is."
