Nebraska DE staying close to home

Omaha (Millard West) defensive end Mike McLaughlin has decided to stay close to home.
"Yes, yesterday," the 6-foot-4, 220 pound defensive lineman said about his commitment to play at Nebraska-Omaha.

Scott had one other offer from Northwestern Missouri State.
"They have better athletic facilities," McLaughlin said. He also liked the players at Nebraska-Omaha better.
He received a little early attention from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, but he hasn't heard from them in "quite a while."
Scott was named to the Lincoln Journal-Star's Super-Star First Team this year as a defensive end.
He plans to major in physical therapy or exercise science.
