ND and SDSU near the top for Campbell

Austin (Texas) Westlake running back Tyler Campbell continues to be recruited by several schools across the midlands. How far away are the scholarship offers?

“I don’t have a scholarship offer yet,” the 6-foot-1, 182-pound Campbell said. “Texas, Texas A&M, Colorado, Notre Dame and San Diego State are the main schools recruiting me.”
Being the son of a former Longhorn standout keeps the Longhorns near the top of the list.
“I have a lot of interest in them obviously,” he said. “But, I would put San Diego State and Notre Dame near the top of the list. I am not ruling any school out. I want to see what each of the schools has to offer me. I want to make the best decision for me. I don’t want to go to a school for the wrong reasons. I want to pick a school because it is the best fit for me, not because I had to go there. If I end up at Texas, like my father did, then that is great. If not, then I’ll be happy at the school I chose.”
Campbell has a few summer camps in mind to help him explore some of his college options.
“I am looking at camping this summer at Notre Dame and San Diego State. It will give me a chance to learn more about both of those schools. I am also looking at Texas A&M’s camp.”
