NCs Williamson claims an offer

One offer is in for Durham (N.C.) Jordan athlete Phillip Williamson. The 6-foot-3, 208-pounder holds an ACC offer and is getting interest from a variety of other colleges.
"It's still one offer from Duke, but all these other colleges are saying go to their camps cause they want to see me go against the best players and then they'll probably offer," he said. "I have to show out at these camps.

"I'm going to the VTO, Nike Camp, Duke, North Carolina, East Carolina, Wake Forest and Clemson, that's most of it."
Williamson claims those schools are showing interest with Clemson, Duke and North Carolina showing the most, in addition NC State and Auburn have taken a look as well.
With that said, does Williamson like anybody?
"I'm a big fan of Duke, it's because of the academics," he said. "It's a great coaching staff and they showed me a great time there.
"North Carolina is too, one of my fellow teammates, TJ Thorpe is up there and Butch Davis is a cool person. I'll talk to their coaches once in awhile."
Williamson plans to visit Duke and North Carolina for spring games along with East Carolina and potentially Clemson.
As college interest picks up, Williamson reflected on what he wants in a college.
"I want a good coaching staff that works you hard, but also has a good sense of humor," he said. "I want a good family that is like a second home when I'm not home, I feel at home.
"Location doesn't mean a lot, but I'd like to be close to family. I'd rather be close than far away."
Williamson earned all-conference honors this past season after registering 127 tackles, six interceptions along with 15 receptions for 250-yards and five total touchdowns.
A clear two-way player, colleges are looking at Williamson for both sides of the ball.
"Colleges have me as an athlete," he said. "It doesn't matter to me as long as I play."
Originally from outside Nashville, Williamson has lived in Durham since his freshman year.
