NCs Sturdivant schedules first official

Oakboro (N.C.) West Stanly athlete Quantavius Sturdivant has been down to Florida and North Carolina for nearly two months. The 6-foot-2, 224-pounder has finally scheduled a visit to one of the schools for the end of the month.
"I'm going to Florida on September 30th to see them face Alabama," he said. "I just want to go and see how the players are and talk to the coaches a bit more. I know the atmosphere is going to be great and they are good people, I just want to get to know them more."

With already plenty of visits under his belt to North Carolina, will the three-star prospect be ready to announce soon after his trip to Gainesville?
"I'm thinking I probably will take an official to North Carolina after my trip to Florida," he said. "I think a decision is pretty far off right now because of that.
"I saw the game they played last week and I'm hoping North Carolina plays better. I think they'll be ready to play when they face Virginia Tech this weekend. It should be a good game and I'm planning on going."
West Stanly has already played three games on the season, but Sturdivant has only played in about half of those.
"I didn't play in the last game and half because I pulled my hamstring, but I'll probably be back this week," he stated. "In the first game I played really well getting two picks and running one back for a touchdown."
