NCs Gore is blowing up, plans to cut his list

Defensive end Joe Gore has seen his recruitment explode over the May Evaluation Period. The 6-foot-6, 262-pound defensive end is rolling in offers and is planning to narrow his list in the near future according to his coach.
"He's got tons of offers, probably 20 or so now," Lake Waccamaw (N.C.) East Columbus head coach Travis Conner said of Gore. "West Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, NC State, Maryland, Duke, Wake Forest, Texas Tech and Virginia had offered before the staff changes.

"He's had a bunch of offers in the last month."
How is Gore taking to the news?
"He's still wide open," he said. "He's going to make a decision or at least get the field narrowed down in the first of June.
"We've got five or six more schools calling saying they'll be by this week or next. After that, he's going to sit down with his family and narrow the pool.
"He likes all of the schools. All have great things to offer and I don't think he's near a decision at this point, today. He's handling the recruiting very well, listening and asking specific questions of each coach that comes in."
Recently Gore made trips to East Carolina, Duke and NC State and plans to head out on more in the coming weeks. However, Conner didn't specify where his star recruit would be headed.
The North Carolina prospect just wrapped up his track season by finishing fourth in the regionals in the shot putt.
