Linebacker Nick Dawson out of Charlotte (N.C.) Berry Academy of Technology holds a number of offers. The 6-foot-3, 228-pounder is taking visits and plans on heading to a few schools including one of his offers this weekend.
"On Saturday I'm going to Clemson for junior day," he said. "I'm also planning to go to Auburn on the 26th of March.
"I went to South Carolina and North Carolina recently too. South Carolina was really great. I like the way they broke down the position, they talked about what I'd be going to school for. I loved everything about North Carolina, they used big linebackers and you'd probably more than likely go to the league."
Dawson claims numerous other colleges including Oregon, East Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M and Syracuse are interested, but have yet to offer.
Does anyone lead?
"I'm open," he said. "I want to go to a school with an engineering program or drafting architecture, basically that's what I want to major in. I want great football too."
Meanwhile, is Dawson still holding out hope for an offer he has yet to receive?
"I want an offer from Miami," he said. "They just have been my dream school and when I was little that's who I liked, my favorite college."
