NC State, Virginia latest to offer RB

Running back LaMarcus Bond out of Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County just picked up two more offers from the ACC. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder's latest offers come from Virginia and North Carolina State. What does the back think of the schools?
"I haven't seen enough of either of their campuses, so I don't know a lot about them yet," he said. "I think they are both good colleges to go to that are good in both sports and academics."

Bond now holds eight offers, but he claims he still has no leaders at this time.
Next up for Bond is the Shrine Bowl Combine on May 14th. What is Bond working on for that?
"I'm working on my 40 and vertical," he said. "I practiced coming out of the blocks, running and pulling the sled a little bit too. I think the Nike combine gives me a whole lot of confidence going into these."
Right now Bond is also running track.
"We had our conference tournament and we came in second," he said. "I placed first in the 100 and second in the 200. It really helps with my breakaway speed in football."
As for next season, Bond is hoping to go out on top as state champions.
"I'm working out after school most days lifting weights, running track and jogging near my home," he said. "I'd like to win the state championship. I don't really have any goals for myself, I just want to win."
Bond was named 3A conference player of the year as well as all-conference, all-area and all-state. The running back ran for 922 yards and eight touchdowns, he added 394 yards receiving with five touchdowns and also had three punts and three kickoff returns for touchdowns.
