NC State surges for LB

Linebacker Aaron Taliaferro holds a lone written offer from Virginia, but other schools are coming on strong for the Gloucester, Va. prospect. Who else besides the Cavaliers is the 6-foot-2, 215-pounder looking at?
"I'm getting a lot of letters from schools including Kansas State, Louisville, Syracuse, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Maryland," he said. "I think I have verbal offers from Maryland, Virginia Tech and Clemson.

"At the moment I'd say I'm kind of favoring Virginia and North Carolina State. Of course I like Virginia because they are close to home and I've grown up watching them play. I also really like their defense and especially what they do with their linebackers. As for North Carolina State, I've just started to get information in the last month and don't know too much about them yet. I have seen their defense before though and it looks very interesting and good."
Taliaferro plans to take in a combine at Duke this spring as well as summer camps at Virginia and Virginia Tech.
The linebacker prospect registered 65 tackles, 19 sacks and three fumble recoveries as a junior. He went on to be named first team all-district and all-region.
